Renovating our Home with French Connection Homeware

If you follow me on Instagram or here on A Fashion Fix, you’ll know that my partner and I bought our first home in Brighton last year and have been in the process of renovating it ever since. Our latest project has been the bedroom, and I am so excited to share with you the transformation with a little help from French Connection.

When we first moved in, the room was in pretty good condition, but we knew we wanted to give it a fresh new look. With a few touch-ups like removing old wallpaper, filling in holes, and a fresh coat of paint, the room began to take shape. But the real transformation came with the addition of French Connection homeware.

French Connection offers a range of stylish and modern homeware, from furniture to furnishings, and I was amazed by the quality and design of their pieces. One of my favorite pieces in the room is the round tray table bedside tables, which perfectly complement the cozy and serene vibe we were going for. The reclaimed wood against the metal base adds a touch of rustic charm to the room.

I’ve also incorporated soft furnishings like knitted cushions and Aztec throws to add texture and warmth to the room. Keeping the color palette muted with shades of grey and small pops of color has created a harmonious and inviting space.

One of the standout pieces in the room is the woven footstool in front of the bay window. Made from mango wood with intricate weaving detail, it adds a touch of bohemian flair and provides a cozy spot to sit and soak up the sunlight.

To showcase my collection of magazines, I installed picture ledges on the wall, styled with cowhide candles for a touch of luxury. And for the wardrobe area, I chose an industrial Timber console table that is narrow and space-saving, perfect for storing my belongings without taking up too much space.

As we’ve put in all the work ourselves, including building the wardrobes, I am thrilled with the transformation of our bedroom from a plain room to a beautiful walk-in wardrobe. The Vintage King rug adds just the right amount of color and design to tie the room together.

Overall, the collaboration with French Connection has elevated the design and style of our bedroom, creating a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. I am beyond happy with the results and can’t wait to continue renovating the rest of our home with their stunning homeware pieces.
