With the help of Desenio, we turned this empty space into a feature wall! I often find myself playing around with this space to freshen it up every now and then, giving it a whole new look each time. Here are some steps to help you create your very own gallery wall.

To start, I painted white picture ledges the same color as the walls. I love using picture ledges because they allow me to change up the look without committing to drilling into the walls. This technique can also work for your typical gallery wall or a mix of the two. I’m planning on switching to a gallery wall once I’m happy with how everything looks.

Next, I choose the posters and frames I want to display. Once everything has arrived, I lay everything out to decide which posters will be used and where they will sit. Mixing sizes, colors, and orientations can create a visually appealing display. I’ve chosen a mixture of sizes and frames in black, white, and oak to add variety to the wall.

After figuring out the placement of the posters, I take a step back to assess the overall look. To fill in large gaps, I mix in some of my favorite black and white magazines. This not only saves space but also adds a chic touch to the wall. I then arrange trinkets, jewelry, candles, and beauty products around the ledges to add a personal touch.

Lastly, I step back and admire the completed gallery wall. The mixture of posters, magazines, and decorative items creates a visually interesting and personalized space. It’s a great way to showcase your style and add character to any room.
