Road Reflections: Vol. 57 with Angie Away

Reflections from the Road: A Look Back on Family Shenanigans, Travel Adventures, and Exciting News

Today I’m back from a 4-night, 5-day family cruise onboard the Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas. As we prepare to disembark and head back home to Jacksonville from Port Canaveral, I can’t help but reflect on the chaotic yet memorable adventures we had during our non-traditional Christmas celebration.

Traditionally, I’m a big fan of sticking to routines and doing the same thing every year, especially during the holiday season. However, this cruise proved to be a fun and carefree change of pace for our family. From hilarious antics like Ben borrowing an older lady’s dentures to Rae and I throwing our bras on stage, it was a trip filled with laughter and unforgettable moments.

One of the highlights of this cruise was the opportunity to create new memories with my family and enjoy quality time together without the stress of holiday preparations, dishes to wash, or driving on New Year’s Eve. It was a welcome break from the usual hustle and bustle of the holiday season, and I would definitely recommend a cruise as a fun alternative.

As I reflect on the highs and lows of the past year in my latest edition of Reflections from the Road, I am reminded of the importance of embracing change and stepping out of my comfort zone. From quitting my stable job to travel the world solo to preparing for the release of my upcoming book, “Flirting with Disaster,” it has been a year of transformation and growth.

With only 10 weeks left until my book is released, I find myself oscillating between excitement and nerves as I prepare for this new chapter in my career. As a new author, pre-orders and early buzz are crucial for the success of my book, and I am grateful for the support of my readers and followers.

In the coming months, I have a packed schedule ahead, with trips to NYC, a possible visit to Iceland to see the Northern Lights, and the normal responsibilities of life like annual check-ups and taxes. It’s going to be a wild and chaotic time, but I am ready to embrace every moment and see where this journey takes me.

As I look ahead to the new year, I am filled with hope and anticipation for the adventures and opportunities that lie ahead. May 2024 be a year of blessings, abundance, and unforgettable experiences for all of us.

What are your plans and goals for the new year? Share your thoughts in the comments below. And don’t forget to pre-order my book, “Flirting with Disaster,” available in hardcover, paperback, Kindle, and audiobook formats. Your support means the world to me as I embark on this new chapter in my career. Thanks for joining me on this journey!
